Want to add instant heighth or define killer cheekbones...Over-The-Top Updos are the key ingredient this season. Just check out Scarlett Johansson and Megan Fox's new doos. Not only is this look great for dressing up, but even looks fabulous with jeans and a casual top. If you've got some hairspray and a good teasing comb, this quick look can be yours.

how to:
Blow dry your hair smooth, then tip your head upside down and spray it with a texturizing spray, like Pantene Pro V Style Texturize. Thanks to the holding power of the spray, your hair should require minimal back-combing at the crown to build body.

Once the hair is sprayed and teased, smoothe it into a French twist and pin it in place. Smooth bangs over the top of your doo with a light spray.

Hair Secrets

beer_bottle1.jpg

The next time you have trouble finishing a bottle of beer, keep the leftovers for use as a hair tonic.
The proteins from the malt and hops found in beer coat, rebuild and repair damaged hair.

Rinse hair with beer to add body and shine!

Wavy Hair Styles

Quick Wavy Look Tip
Part your hair into 1-inch sections. Roll sections up into pin curls and secure with hair clips or bobby pins. Put your shower cap on and jump into the shower. The steam will set your hair as you shower. Remove the cap afterwards. Take the clips out of your hair and shake your now wavy hair out.

Invest in a blow dryer that has a nozzle to control air flow and a diffuser for curly styles.

Smelly Hair Fix
Add a few drops of perfume into a spray bottle filled with water. Spritz hair all over. Or, apply a little bit of baby powder into your hair and brush it in.

Shampoo, no matter what exotic ingredients it's made up of, performs a simple job of removing excess oils, pollution and styling product build up from the hair. All of your hair needs gentle cleansing but it is the top two or three inches that is most weighed down with natural oils and dulling hair products. Concentrating the washing in that area will reduce the amount of oils removed from longer areas of hair which can be over dried from the stripping of oils and extended contact with shampoo.
